History of this 300ZX

Here's the history of this 1992 300ZX Twin Turbo:

First owner was an engineer from Sun Microsystems. Jay, the second owner, bought it in 1995. DMV recorded the change of ownership on 12/28/1995. The day before (12/27/1995), it passed the smog test and the odometer reading was 32,027.

I took over ownership on 7/5/2005 when the odometer was 101,412. So, this means Jay enjoyed the car for about 70K miles. The last mileage recorded on the 7/3/2005 carfax was 97,305 on 12/27/2003. This means, the car had 97 - 101 = 4K miles from 12/27/2003 to 7/4/2005 (~1.5 years).

Jay had the 90K maintenance done on the car at Yarnell's in Mountain View.

According to a webpage of serial numbers, the VIN indicates that this car was built in December 1991. There were 183 twin-turbos built that month (VIN prefix JN1CZ24H_NX; where "_" can be any number or "X"). The data for the webpage came from a Nissan microfiche and Steve Simmons.

Fun fact: When I bought this ZX from Jay in Portola Valley, his next-door neighbor was also "Don Lee".
